Frimley & Camberley Cadet Corps. abbreviated on this website as FCCC.UK – officially known as the Frimley and Camberley Cadet Corps and Maple Leaf Club with Registered Charity No. 305044 – is a private, independent, voluntary, trust organisation founded in 1908, and is maintained by private subscription and fundraising.
It offers various activities and physical training to boys and girls aged between 6Β½ to 18 years old to help develop and improve their character, moral strength, good manners, self-respect, self-control and self-confidence via military style discipline, organisation and structure – and of course promotes fun and excitement whilst doing so!
Cadets enjoy and respect being in uniform, and are trained skilfully to carry out tactical drills, parades (locally & nationally), camping (tents & buildings), long distance walking, map reading, first aid, shooting, trips to the continent, riding in helicopters and army vehicles, and even joining if they choose, our own Corps of Drums. But we still make time to help those in need in our community.
The Corps relies solely on subscriptions, so is always looking to increase its Cadet membership. If you have children from the age of 6Β½ years upwards, they are most welcome to come and visit the Corps and experience what it does for a four week trial period before committing to join as Cadets. Sometimes children can be worried about attending alone, so we suggest they bring along a friend/sibling.
